Who we are
Bukies Bookclub & literacy foundation is a community driven initiative committed to promoting literacy and a love for reading among children. We believe that access to books, writing materials and reading books can transform lives and strengthen communities.
Our core focus is supporting children by providing books and essential writing materials, as well as reading through structured and informal literacy sessions. These interactions help children develop confidence, improve reading skills, and build a strong foundation for continuous learning.
In addition, Bukie’s literacy hosts an adult book club that brings together individuals who share a passion for reading and community service. Members of the book club actively support our literacy programs by volunteering, mentoring, and helping to distribute and share books within the community. Through this collaboration, adults play a vital role in encouraging reading culture and supporting children’s learning journeys.
